How to Adopt a MaineCoonections Kitten
Step #1 - Apply to become a pre-approved VIP/Future Guardian
Complete the kitten VIP/ Approved Guardian application. If you are approved, you will receive a username and password that will allow you to login to the MaineCoonections website private pages. You will also receive instructions on how to sign up for text message notifications so you can be notified as soon as a kitten is available.
Step #2 - Reserve your Favorite MaineCoonections Kitten
Kittens are released for reservation once they've received their first vet visit (at about eight weeks of age). Once the kitten is open for reservation, a text message will be sent to VIP/Approved Guardians notifying them that the kitten is open for reservation. At that time, you will log in to the website reservation page and reserve the kitten.
Step #3 - Arrange Pick up of your Kitten
Your MaineCoonections kitten can go home between 12-13 weeks of age. You must be able to pick up your baby in person.
Shipping is not possible at the present time due to the airline pet shipping embargos. We hope this is temporary as the airlines work out their issues. Until then, you must be able to pick up your baby. Airlines still allow pets to be carried on the plan as a carryon for a fee.
No Waiting Lists for a Kitten!!
MaineCoonections does not have a "waiting list." Everyone has the same opportunity to reserve a kitten as long as you are an Approved VIP Guardian.
MaineCoonections reserves the right to reserve any kitten at any time to anyone without offering it to the public first. This means that you may see a kitten on the website, and it never becomes available. It goes directly from "Not Available Yet" to a "Reserved" status.
Priority Picks are given to repeat buyers and anyone who is reserving two kittens from the same litter. These individuals do not have to wait for a text message to reserve a kitten. If you are interested in reserving two kittens from the same litter or already own a MaineCoonections kitten, please contact me and let me know of your intent.
